1. HD&A prepares your LOA application package to the protocol required by the FAA, including:
* Documentation for specific Special Areas of Operation (SAO) airspace which includes:
- Preparation of airworthiness exhibits/documents such as: STC's, Form 337's, AFM's,
AMM excerpts, etc.
* RVSM - Refer to RVSM Compliance Page.
* NAT HLA - North Atlantic High Level Airspace (formerly MNPS)
* RNP - Required Navigation Performance: (RNP-4, RNP-10)
* RNAV - BRNAV, PRNAV, RNP-1,
* Basic Area Navigation (Refer to Item 3 Below)
2. Examination of required components for international destinations, but not addressed
by FAA LOA requirements/systems.
* Is your aircraft at risk of being excluded from certain airspace.
- Review avionics installation records and conformity to OEM or STC approvals,
SB's, AFMS and mod status.
* Deficiencies may result in operational delays or re-routing when discovered overseas.
3. Available as Optional Approval processing by HD&A only for aircraft with qualified equipment:
* Precision Area Navigation (PRNAV or RNP-1)
* FANS-1/A+ (CPDLC & ADS-C) Data Link
4. Submit the application as your representative to the FAA office, FDSO or IFO as applicable.
5. Remain in contact with you and the FAA to assure rapid processing and approval.
6. Upon completion and approval you will be provided an LOA with appropriate approvals.
